My Background

Every day is a Second Chance

I am here to support you…..

My name is Jamie Hauer and I am passionate about helping others live more emotionally heathy and authentic lives.  I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I am a professor of Psychology, Sociology, and Gender Studies courses through Montana State University (Great Falls and Haver locations). I have a Master of Arts Degree in Professional Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University.  I have experience working with individuals (children, adolescents, and adults), couples, and families in private practice and in-home therapy.  In, addition, I have experience as a crisis counselor, and as a financial and educational counselor.

In my practice I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in all stages of their lives, I am experienced in helping those with relationship struggles, blended family issues, divorce, parenting and single parenting issues, sexual identity struggles, eating disorders, developmental and behavioral disorders, grief and loss, anxiety and depression.

I am also a Certified PREPARE/ENRICH counselor.

My deepest commitment is to you—honoring your unique story, amplifying your inherent strengths, and collaboratively mapping a path of growth and healing. Together, we'll illuminate your personal resources, celebrate your resilience, and gently explore opportunities for transformation.

Your journey is sacred. And you are not alone.

What to Expect

As a therapist, I strive to provide an atmosphere that is safe, supportive, respectful, and confidential.  Professionalism, mutual respect, and confidentiality are the foundation of my practice.  I believe that the relationship between the therapist and client is of utmost importance.  My clients consider me straight forward, understanding, accepting and active in therapy sessions.  I understand that the decision to start therapy is a big step that can be both liberating and frightening.  These feelings are very common and we can address your concerns as we begin.    I work with people from a variety of backgrounds, life experiences, spiritual beliefs, and ages.  LGBT and alternative family structures are welcome.
